Realtopedia publishes guides on how to compare cities and how to read an international purchase. The name on the masthead is Realtopedia. The subject is real estate. This is not a general personal-finance reference, and it is not a brokerage.
What we publish
Essays with a method, a date, and a limits section. The library holds five guides: choosing cities, rental cities, international investing, foreign-buyer rules, and reading expensive cities. The first, the international guide, and the expensive-cities guide were rewritten in September 2026. Their previous addresses redirect to these pages. The rental guide and the rules matrix are new, and the matrix has no country rows until each one has an official source.
Cities and markets and International investing are section indexes. They list work that exists. They do not pad the site with empty city or country URLs.
How a piece is made
Each guide starts from a question an investor can take into a file, states a method, and records what the piece will not do. A number Realtopedia has not measured is left out. “Best city” rankings and luxury price ladders without a sample are the habits this version of the site is here to end.
Scope
The reader may live in one country and study property in another. The desk is organised around that fact. Interest in the previous site already arrived from many places — the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and the United States among them — and the writing follows the questions, not a single home market.
Singapore-specific claims, when a piece makes them, are cited to Realila. Realtopedia does not keep a parallel Singapore taxonomy, and Singapore is not the default subject of the desk.
What we are not
We do not sell property, introduce brokers for a fee, or hold client money. Nothing here is an offer to buy or sell, or advice that has met your tax residency and your circumstances. Where a statute, a tax, or a foreign-buyer rule decides the outcome, the guide says so and stops. That reading belongs to someone qualified in the relevant place.
There is no tools section. A calculator that does not exist is not given a page. Search across the library can wait until the library is larger.
Corrections
A factual error is corrected in the piece, and the updated date on the page moves with it. The September 2026 editions replace the older articles at the addresses that now redirect.
